about
us

When our son was born, we lived in a beautiful house on the coast of Maine. We had corporate income and were busy consuming our way through life. But we quickly realized this wasn’t for us. We soon packed up and moved to a rented bungalow in LA and have now lived in 9 states, as we larp our way across the country, seeing how families in different communities live their lives. We’ve learned so much.

People seem to be entrenched in a prescribed methodology of living: school, work, church, sports, and quite frankly, mindless distraction. It’s a life that pretty much guarantees that nothing interesting will happen. We know because we’ve been there, and we’ve seen this life reflected in our travels. So many families live a directed and unconscious life — they live in the Matrix.

We try to spend as much time outside of institutions as we can. There’s no school for us. We don’t belong to many groups. We are free agents in the game of life. We continue to jettison convention as we travel around the earth, having now been to 20 countries (and counting). Life’s too short to live within the rigid confines of societal structures. We choose to live in the magic and mystery of adventure — and we wear many different pairs of sunglasses while doing it.

With only one life to live — how are you going to live it? Who are you going to live it with?
